Randall教授現為加拿大阿爾伯塔大學商學院傑出金融學首席教授（Stephen A. Jarislowsky Distinguished Chair in Finance, Distinguished University Professor，Alberta School of Business，University of Alberta），研究生畢業于耶魯大學，博士畢業于哈佛大學。他主要研究商業曆史、政治經濟以及公司金融等領域，在 The Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Finance, Review of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, The Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Corporate Finance, Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Accounting Research 等國際知名期刊發表了多篇論文。
摘要｜Abstract
This is an introductory financial economics lecture. The lecture is mainly grouped by 3 parts: (1) Finance & Prosperity. The role (positive and negative) of the financial system in sustaining long run prosperity; (2) Behavioral Finance. Augmenting finance with research ideas from psychology; (3) Comparative finance. How different countries’ financial systems are actually very different? The lecture will use some cases to link the financial theory with practice and help students get familiar with some details.
